From the Desk of Doctor Paul ..."Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation (restoring all to that original, Glory-emanating plan enjoyed prior to the fall): that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation (healing and prosperity for spirit, soul, body, finances and ministry). We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:17
"For I am full of words, and the Spirit within me compels me; inside I am like bottled-up wine, like new wineskins ready to burst. I must speak and find relief; I must open my lips and reply." Job 32:18-20
"No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved." Matthew 9:16-17
"And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you." Romans 8:11
I so often contemplate the Father's agony as His Pride and Joy hung on Calvary's cruel cross. It wasn't so much the crucifixion, since many went that route back then. The Obedient One had positioned Himself for the epitome of pain in all departments. Yes, He could have called down a myriad of angels for deliverance, but chose to prefer and focus on us. Love, not nails, kept the Master there. He knew no sin, sickness and poverty. We were unfamiliar with righteousness, health and wealth. Nevertheless, without a thought, there was that grand exchange of the undeserved. God's like that, you know! And thankfully, being the same, yesterday, today and forever, He will never change!
We complain of headaches and other minor conditions, which, by comparison, cannot hold a candle to what the Savior experienced on a day that would literally change the complexion of this world. Two-thousand years ago, Jesus Blood, like an all-consuming vacuum, spoke and placed a demand on darkness, drawing iniquity to the Source of cure, as it does this very moment from the Mercy Seat in the Heavenly Holy of Holies. Christ exclaimed, "No man can take My life. I lay it down for the Sheep, willingly, obediently and sacrificially. Sin, sickness, poverty and death, take your best shot! Let's settle this matter, once and for all, while creation cries out for what the Family will experience and accomplish because of My decision."
The Father watched as the Object of His affection bore every iniquity, disease, mental torment, broken heart, empty checkbook...past, present and future, all at once. It was not unlike observing the execution of an innocent child, via an unimaginable process of torture. And any natural perception of the grotesque couldn't begin to touch what Jesus went through for the Bride. Witnessing all that was too much! Creation convulsed. Papa had to turn His back, which is exactly what he does when the accuser of the Brethren runs his mouth about us, and attempts to find a back door into Heaven's infallible Redemptive Plan of Salvation.
"It is finished!" Those resounding words said everything. In essence, Jesus exclaimed to us, "I've done it all, paid your bill in full! Nothing can harm the Family. Now you go into every square inch of this world, preach the Good News, heal the sick, cast out devils and raise the dead. Your representation and authority will be as effective as Mine, except, you can anticipate those greater works!"
Are there days when you wonder about your standing with Dad? He is Love Personified. Nothing can possibly separate the Church from God's affection. From the Throne's vantage point, hell is history, having been dealt a lethal blow when the Savior came out of that tomb. The righteousness of God in Christ is Who we have become. Satan trespasses whenever he comes against the finished work. Our job is to let the loser know that God's DNA permeates our every fiber, and there is no place for his wiles.
On another matter, many waste their time debating eternal security, instead of living within their rights and privileges. First of all, I don't want out! Secondly, a Smith is a Smith, and a Jones is a Jones. There's no way, regardless of what that individual has done, for the family DNA to be extracted. It's in the genes, you know. Again, Papa's DNA governs every atom of the Church. Thirdly, who can separate us from the love of God? Fourthly, where sin abounds, grace much more gains ascendency. Fifthly, evil is still being overcome by good. The Blood will never lose its power to deliver forgiveness and wholeness. In other words, Heaven has more medicine than we have pain, sin, sickness, poverty, death, doubt or defeat. Darkness doesn't dispel light. It's actually the other way around. No one can pluck you from the Father's hand, not even the gates of hell! So, settle both salvation and Covenant. They're yours!
Have you read 1 Corinthians 13, lately? God doesn't maintain a double-standard, would never command us to walk in that mindset of the unconditional, if He, Himself, didn't do likewise. After all, the Word in us not only took on flesh when Jesus activated His ministry, but continues to manifest (take on flesh), via the miraculous and creative works in and through the Body,
We need to set aside the old and fully welcome the new. Mentalities of yesterday won't work. Some of what we embraced and stroked back then was clearly traditional and wrong, making the Word of God ineffective. On that proverbial potter's wheel, we are to yield, as those gentle, precious hands mold us into an unfathomable destiny. Are joy, peace, happiness and prosperity a part of all that? You bet!
Some have cautioned, "Watch out for those signs and wonders. Be careful! They might get your eyes off the Sender!"
Give me a break! My major concern is that manifestations should be a prolific, everyday occurrence in the Church. But they're not. A sense of spiritual starvation has become the norm. Fully preaching the Gospel and being approved of God involve an outpouring, a reciprocal, confirming response from Heaven. Are the sick being freely healed? What about raising the dead? You and I are living so far beneath "the call" and "Covenant." How the Lord's heart must yearn for us to get on the stick! He was there when Jesus defeated Satan and hasn't forgotten Calvary's tab.
Signs and wonders point toward a destination. Would you contemplate taking a trip without them? That's why we have maps, billboards and marked highways. They get us there faster and safer. Along with that, gifts promote a desire to locate the sender. "Who gave me this wonderful present?" In simple terms, love is always seeking new ways of expressing itself, leaving footprints and pointing us to its origin. And the Holy Spirit knows precisely how to woo each human into the Fold!
"Beloved, the old has passed away, and all has become new! I want you to
envision the excellency of that treasure within, concentrically working its
way out...from spirit, then to soul and body, renewing and placing My express
thoughts into your mind, while quickening, making alive that mortal body.
This, indeed, is Dad's Glory to Glory process of promotion, not unlike
physical and intellectual growth. With both, time is invariably crucial. Let
Me give you an analogy and example. One would not expect an infant to get
behind the wheel of a car and drive. However, within him is that future
potential. By degree, he matures and learns. The day comes when a parent
hands him those keys, and the recipient is off and running! A sown seed is
like that, as well. Place it into the soil. Can a harvest be expected by
morning? No! Once again, times and seasons (growth) are involved in the
production of fruit. Such remains the case in everything pertaining to life
and godliness. That so-called 'magic moment' arrives when the Children,
through revelation knowledge...dreams and visions, are totally convinced that
full Covenant is for them. They eat the Seed, Heaven's Word, which becomes
life, vision and health. A quick work is transpiring in this hour of Glory,
when even those freshly coming into the Kingdom will enter full growth
overnight and turn this planet upside-down with My Presence. Did that not
happen with the Apostles? Surely! Look at what resulted! Multitudes were
added to the Church, daily. Haven't you noticed lately that spiritual
dissatisfaction and hunger? I am personally preparing a new Wineskin to serve
the best and greatest translation of the creative and miraculous yet to be
witnessed by man. The Wine cannot remain in that Vessel much longer. Are you
ready for another truth? While there, the Anointing (Wine) will transform the
Container (you) into the very image of Christ...spirit, soul and body. We are
talking about astounding healings and change here. Trespassing symptoms and
circumstances must bend their knees to that Name above all others. Fainting
and quitting are not in our vocabularies! The show is about to begin! Feel
free to use this statement often! Nothing can stop Us now!"
