What Would Jesus Do?
"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all
without finding fault, and it will be given to him." James 1:5
"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you
may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious
inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who
believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he
exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his
right hand in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 1:18
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in
me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved
me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
I have often wondered what it might be like to have Jesus physically present
in the room with me. Without question, the very atmosphere would change, be
supercharged by an awesome Presence and fragrance, with love abundantly
overwhelming sin-consciousness, lack and inferiority. Having said that, let's
ponder this truth. In reality, He is with us, no matter where we might
venture, even in those difficult, dark places. The excellency of God's
treasure resides on the inside of each person who calls upon His Name. Always
having total sufficiency in everything pertaining to life and godliness has
been declared and deposited within His vessels of honor...the Church.
Jim Irwin, a dear friend who journeyed to the lunar surface, and I were
chatting one day about his venture. He made an interesting comment. "Paul,
while on the moon, my eyes kept gravitating toward the horizon, where a
beautiful blue ball, the size of a marble, decorated the sky. I knew that
everything near and dear to me maintained residency on that planet (earth).
Yet, I was in another place, alone, by comparison to what was the norm in my
daily walk."
Jim went on to describe what it was like to be on the moon's surface. He
talked about falling down and getting back up...a real danger in that
setting, being led of the Spirit in discovering the Genesis Rock, his return
to the mother ship, and finally earth. This marvelous man particularly
emphasized the unusual Anointing enjoyed on his assignment. Again, the
astronaut faced a demanding job, was somewhat alone on that surface, aside
from a colleague. One mistake could mean the end, literally! God knew that
and was on the scene, granting supernatural wisdom and knowledge.
Where can we go to escape His Presence? It is so important to know that He
made, and fills, every atom with Heaven's Glory, upholding all by the mighty
Word of His Power. Since creation travails and awaits a manifestation of the
Sons and Daughters of God, all that exists screams out for more of Him, the
Jesus in you and me! Restoration and reconciliation are part of that
yearning. In simple terms, people, places and things are ready for us to
speak forth Life, articulate what is being shared during those Throne Room
encounters with Dad. Atoms anxiously anticipate a venting of revelational
knowledge. What will be the end result? Signs, wonders and miracles, a
floodtide of the miraculous, and multitudes entering the Kingdom will be
manifested.
Actions do speak louder than words. Love becomes a verb before the Author and
Finisher of faith. Impossible doesn't exists in His, or Our, vocabulary. You
see, He's the God of all flesh. Therefore, molecules and cells have no
choice, as they respond to the Voice of that Word in the Believer! We're
talking about an unfathomable authority here. In that process, intimidating
situations and circumstances, those so-called giants that really have nothing
in us, should be completely ignored as the Army marches in and possesses the
fulness of Covenant.
You've seen those shirts and bracelets sporting WWJD...What Would Jesus Do? I
had thought that this referred to the Master's behavior in loving the
unlovely, and merely doing the right thing in everyday, often mundane
situations. Nevertheless, what's implied goes way beyond that. Indeed, WWJD
completely embraces the Great Commission, spelled out in Matthew 10:8.
What would our Savior do today? He would boldly act, enjoying the same
results and consequences (positive and negative) that He did two-thousand
years ago, by preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, casting out devils,
raising the dead and ultimately being killed by a bunch of insensitive,
jealous, foolish critics. The Man, undoubtedly, would be accused of hanging
around the wrong crowd, not abstaining from the appearance of evil, with some
in the Family making such statements as..."That miracle must be of the devil!
It doesn't happened in my church."
To live is Christ. The Church represents Him in more ways than one, both
legally and vitally. Just as Jim Irwin ran into the Standby on the moon, you
and I are not alone, but have a specific mandate and Anointing from the Holy
One. Your desire to venture into the unknown comes from Him. Walking in the
supernatural is just that...very (super) natural. When we get out from under
that mode of Anointing, anxiety and depression quickly enter; sickness likely
follows. You and I are to be so one with Daddy, that no symptom or contrary
circumstance will be able to ruin the moment, as we are far from all
oppression.
There's no reason why the Christian cannot be led by the Holy Spirit,
twenty-four hours a day. Since the Third Person of the Trinity is a
Gentleman, He will not violate, or go beyond, our consent. As free moral
agents, we are to totally yield and grant Him permission to lead. It's that
simple. You and I are Followers!
It's time for us to sincerely ask..."Father, what is your will in this
matter? How would the Master handle the presenting situation?" Christ did
that during His earthly ministry. The Savior's eyes were constantly on Dad,
as the two communicated without interruption. Jesus made it clear that He
knew and saw something, while fulfilling His mission. What? He recognized
God's perfect will for creation.
The Redeemer placed great emphasis on maintaining a strong vertical
orientation, actually keeping Himself in that Secret Place of the Most High.
We must do the same. Nothing intimidated the Sent One. Such is to be the case
with us. An ear to hear and a heart to understand are imperative in working
the works. Bowels of compassion must rule the moment. A recognition that the
Church has operated and lived incredibly beneath Her rights and privileges
remains paramount if change is to be realized. So many await His touch. And
we are surely the Spout where the Glory comes out!
Those greater works are upon us. However, just as Jesus' union with the
Creator led to the Cross before that tremendous explosion of Resurrection
victory, you and I are to recognize we have been crucified with Him. External
misunderstandings and ignorance are to be countered by doing good, loving and
conduiting Heaven's resources. The world is starving to death (literally) for
Life, Light and Love...His, through the Kids. Let's get over ourselves,
abound to that cross, lay down our lives, prefer others, and present a
Resurrected Christ by plundering hell as never before. Remember, you can't
hurt a crucified (dead) man. Neither can the Risen Son be injured. So, don't
worry! Seated together in Heavenly Places, we are present for such a time as
this, to rule and reign!
Light My Fire!
Beloved, I want you to envision a fireworks setting, just prior to ignition.
Charges have been placed in little packages, with fuses set to transfer the
blaze. A tiny spark is all that's necessary to commence the presentation. But
in order for that to happen, an appointed, obedient vessel must carry forth
the ignition. Has it not been written that God makes His ministers a flaming
fire? Just as Jesus was sent, so send I you! The Pillar of Cloud by day and
Pillar of Fire by night represent key components of your walk and ministry.
Intimacy, revelation, gestation for the proper time and season, followed by
manifestation, are facets of My progression. Factor in each, before
discouragement is permitted to interfere with your vision, that peace and
joy. Let Me talk about the crowd We'll be hanging out with, those individuals
slated for impact by your Unction. The sick need a physician. Where will
anyone discover the Great Doctor in these days of the Spirit? Look for Papa
among those who are sinning and hurting the most. Want to know a little
secret? Pain occasionally promotes sin, but should ultimately lead to Me.
That's why it's imperative not to judge and get too preachy. Doing the Word
will culminate in the grandest harvest. Here is Heaven's rule of thumb. One's
actual relationship with the Commander is determined by his level of love and
willingness to die for others. That doesn't always mean physical death, but a
setting aside of prejudices, biases, a need to be right and show off.
Jealousy, judgmentalism, hatred, prolonged anger and a determination to
control are rooted in fear, the bipolar opposite of faith. The words from
your mouth must dominate the law of sin and death. Above all, seek wisdom and
understanding. I know how to reach the unreachable and heal the previously
unhealable. Once more, focus on intimacy, Covenant and the Anointing!
Everything else will automatically fall into place. Don't try to promote
yourself. That, too, is my responsibility! The Glory set before you will
obliterate negativity from the past, present and future. All, and I mean all,
is becoming new!"
