Superficial Or Supernatural?
"The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken
to you are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been
doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the
Father." John 14:12
"Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed...not only in my
presence, but now much more in my absence...continue to work out your
salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and
to act according to his good purpose." Philippians 2:12-13
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone,
the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let
us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1
Let's look at repentance. For some, the definition involves turning away from
what was once deemed a sin, or negative behavior. We are often referring to
ridding ourselves of old compulsions and addictions, perhaps a natural manner
of reacting, embracing a desire to no longer respond in what is perceived as
harmful behavior that just doesn't glorify the Lord.
However, I believe there's much more involved in this process, since true
repentance, more frequently than not, incorporates becoming sick and tired of
being sick and tired, an exhausting of the old. The Believer, through the
guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, no longer possesses an appetite
for former ways. Instead, with the Lord working in us, both to will and do of
His good pleasure. We vigorously seek Heaven's Glory to Glory progression,
where previous mindsets automatically pass away. A newness of thought and
action arrives, replacing the carnal, or superficial, with the supernatural.
The Revelator once provided insight into a troubling question that was asked.
"Lord, why does it seem so difficult to lay aside those weights and sins that
so easily beset me?" He immediately retorted, "Paul, My Kingdom doesn't
operate by, and embrace, natural (carnal) might or power, but instead
conduits, via the Spirit...Heaven's Agent of Change, the Perpetuator of
Glory's Supernatural. He works within the unseen realm, taking hold with the
Christian who surrenders and calls those things which be not as though they
were, until each becomes. Additionally, repentance incorporates an appetite
that changes as the Word becomes alive, and intimacy with Me is foremost and
deemed 'Top Priority.' In the natural, that arm of flesh will invariably
fail. Once attention is gained, accompanied by a desire for the new, a vital
transaction is realized, a new wanting. The Mind of Christ is then the
primary Source of direction and subsequent victory. Acknowledging Me in all
your ways results in that modification. Furthermore, if it were possible to
repent without the Redeemer, pride would swiftly follow. When others sought
deliverance and direction, you'd not point them to the cross, but a formula
and your own self efforts for righteousness. When one tries to become like
the Creator without the Holy Spirit, failure and apathy are automatic. For
the record, that way has been the norm for centuries. In plain terms,
Redeemed Child, you can't be like Me without Me!"
Nothing is more liberating than hearing from the Throne Room. Once we settle
the sanctification issue, they'll be a flow, instead of a perpetual struggle
to be like Christ. God isn't seeking silver or golden vessels, but yielded
ones, pliable lumps of clay who permit the Master Potter to mold each into a
Vessel of honor and effectiveness.
Contemplate this! Most precious containers are fashioned to embrace the
valuable, beautiful and desired. The Christian is no different. With the
excellency of that Glory on the inside, you and I can fully declare the
Gospel with signs, wonders and miracles. By lifting up the Savior, we become
attractive and magnetic, which generates a drawing of individuals to the
cross.
We are swiftly entering a new realm of Heaven's "Show and Tell." This world
is awaiting a demonstration, or manifestation, of the Sons and Daughters of
God. Mere words won't "cut the mustard" any longer. In fact, there are
already too many of them. Humanity has become desensitized to empty hearts
and "talking heads." On the inside of every man, woman and child is an
insatiable yearning for those good and perfect gifts, the contents of that
marvelous storehouse in Glory. The latter rain, along with the former,
involves just that.
Newness is the key concept. What used to work, won't. The old has, indeed,
passed away. We must not rest on previous laurels or mistakes.
Sin-consciousness has no place in this move. The Children are to set their
faces as flint, while saluting no man along the way.
Stop worrying about what others think! We are to lay down our lives for
people and serve them, as directed by the Holy Spirit. Owe no man, but to
love him. In this flow of Glory will be vindication of Daddy's Kids and that
word on the inside. You aren't responsible for others' perceptions of your
reputation. God watches over His Word to perform it and protect each Vessel.
The Instructor has taken center stage. Let's settle down in His classroom and
attend to Heaven's Wisdom.
I'm Hungry!
"Beloved, how often have you heard little ones exclaim, 'Let's eat. I'm
hungry!' Haven't you noticed those fast food restaurants, located on almost
every block? They're present for a reason and purpose, that of providing
sustenance for those who are simply responding to a natural desire. The body
must be fed on a regular basis. Such is the case with a human mind and
spirit. In these days of My Glory, Heavenly Restaurants and Vendors will be
on every street to offer and serve Heavenly Food, the miraculous, in many
cases. Obedient Waiters will complement and dispense. Freely they have
received. Liberally shall be the giving. I am Personally repulsed by the
emptiness of establishments that purport to feed the hungry, yet have nothing
to offer but void words. 'Be warmed and fed. We'll pray for you!' can never
be your Lover's will. Action is required. Heaven has no shortages. As
Joint-Heirs with Christ, the Church legally enjoys equal access to Glory's
riches, everything contained in the Blood Covenant. The Family really has
been granted full sufficiency in everything pertaining to life and godliness.
As I Am, you have become in this world, bone of My bone, and flesh of flesh.
To live means a representation of the Sent One. Never was Jesus at a loss for
words or provision. Heaven and earth are literally kissing each other. My
will is to be done in both locations, as they mirror and reflect each other.
Again, the Kingdom isn't in Word, but Power and a demonstration of the
Spirit. Let's get back to Food. Did the Master refuse to feed the multitudes,
as they listened to His teachings? Absolutely not! Lest they faint along the
way, He supernaturally met all of their needs, according to His riches in the
Glory. Meditate on the Great Commission. Preaching the Gospel, healing the
sick, casting out devils, and raising the dead are paramount, but only the
foundational beginning. Those greater works are to manifest from that
particular mandate. What is about to transpire hasn't fully entered the mind
of man. Only the prophetic has touched on the Outpouring. Remember! I have
always been a God of surprises and suddenlies. So shall it be!"
