I Call You Friend!

"Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name." Isaiah 49:1

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast are the sum of them! When I count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you." Psalm 139:14-18

"When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit." Luke 1:41

"When he was brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice." John 10:4

While taking a break between patients earlier this week, the Holy Spirit challenged me with a fascinating question, one which had never previously crossed my mind before that specific moment. "Paul, whose voice did you initially hear and respond to in life?"

My immediate natural reaction was obvious. Many studies support the theory that a fetus within one's womb not only hears and reacts to the voices of both parents, but can actually discern their level of love and acceptance toward that individual. Such was this writer's conclusion. However, I was in for a surprise! This is what the Revelator had to say. "The very first utterance recognized at the onset of life is the Father's. In your case, Heaven exclaimed...'Paul, be!' At that point, cells commenced formation. As the process continued, the Spirit of the Most High brooded over that which originated in, and was derived from, the unseen...My heart, the realm of the Fifth Dimension. All unfolded as I watched over the spoken Word... an articulation from the Throne Room, with an inherent ability to manifest itself. Life, confirming all aspects and facets of vision within the Creator's heart, is in that Seed. From day one, cells, sinews, molecules, atoms, muscles and organs obeyed every Heavenly syllable. To the ears of your spirit, I prophesied desire and destiny, imparting unmatchable love."

That revelation blew me away! The Holy Spirit added further content, as I listened. The most dangerous place on the face of this earth is the womb. If a human is able to survive hell's efforts to abort God's Grand Design...human life, he has done well. From that point forward, the child becomes fully dependent upon the decisions and behaviors of those in his external environment. When a quality decision is made to train up a little one in the way he should go, and I'm talking about imparting a knowledge of the Lord's desire to ongoingly speak to, and lead His Children, then that person is well launched. The foundation has been set for identity, Covenant and destiny. Without that understanding, the family of origin, school, workplace and church are available venues of potential attack. Lacking spiritual weaponry, people become victims of hell and the flesh, plagued by an intensified sense of helplessness and hopelessness, since flesh cannot save itself. Without the Savior's Blood, neither is it a match for what's out there.

The Teacher continued His unveiling of what everyone should know, citing the fact that the Father never ceases to communicate with the Family. Neither slumbering nor sleeping, Glory transmits Dad's thoughts twenty-four hours a day. Each Word surfs upon a Tidal Wave of Power, or the wherewithal to confirm itself through a manifestation or materialization of that which was originally spoken. Not unlike the man who moved into a home located near a busy airport runway, we, too, learn to block out sounds. Unfortunately, due to a lack of knowledge, the cares of this world and deceitfulness of influence, the internally audible Voice of God is silenced by way of external distraction, a desensitization process that robs us of His very best, hundreds and thousands of promises and revelations, the guidance direly required to move around obstacles of destiny.

Become silent enough, and you can hear the beating of your own heart. How often do we take the time and effort to do just that? So much is taken for granted. What about those lungs? Not a whole lot of thought goes into their function, since they automatically fulfill their call. God was wise in creating bodies that can remain alive, independent of our thoughts and efforts. Indeed, that's the case with our various physiological and neurological systems. Their function continues, even if the mind doesn't understand how they work. God's Voice is just like that. The Christian, more often than not, simply ignores and masks its efforts and content. Yet, the Father never ceases transmission.

I recently asked a patient, who had driven a distance to meet with me at the Clinic, to reflect upon the sounds heard while heading toward Augusta. A puzzled look followed that query. He shared what might have been experienced, likely drawing from distant memory and collective fact, rather than recent recollection. The only certainty involved listening to a radio program, and, even then, full content was in question. He couldn't remember much about what was said. Another patient sat across from me, expressing frustration at having attempted with all of her might to hear God's Voice. This was what she had to say. "I prayed, prayed, prayed and listened, then kept challenging Heaven to speak. Yet, nothing happened. No matter what, my mind perceived no Voice."

Obviously, this lady desired communication with the Lord, but was placing too much effort into the endeavor. The woman was trying to hear with her natural mind, rather than God's Receiver...the spirit, sort of like tasting an orange with one's ear. She wasn't too thrilled about hearing the Mary and Martha story either, since that had been brought up before, likely by another Messenger.

It's fascinating how most of us become frustrated and irritated with truth. Quite likely, the reason behind our contrary reaction is a mindset that resists what we most need to receive. My patient had the best of intentions, meant well, but was too busy in the soulish and physical realms to really "listen." After all, we can't do, or think about, two things at once.

This is how the Bride receives from Papa...in quietness and confidence, as well as stillness. While anticipating and contemplating fellowship and revelation, the simplicity of hearing becomes second nature, not unlike in the womb, at the beginning of our creation. We are His Sheep. The Word says there's to be a "knowing."

Expectancy, relaxation and waiting go hand in hand. Don't fret! The Holy Spirit won't be a moment late in delivering the mail. Neither will the Almighty resist His heart's desire, or original intent behind human creation...fellowship and blessings. The ability to hear has always been there and won't depart, not on this side of Heaven. The Revelator's responsibility is to solidly land home God's Word and plan. The faithful One will do just that!

Sell Out!

"Precious Child, has it not been written, that no man comes to the Father unless the Spirit draws him? Have you accepted Me? Is there a desire to go about and do good? Rest assured! The reception of Glory's transmission is a daily occurrence. Indeed, not only is the Church Mine, but those who draw nigh unto me are called friends. From the womb to the present, I have never ceased in attempting to guide, comfort, reveal and teach. The Blood has a Voice. On the Mercy Seat in the Heavenly Holy of Holies, Christ's Life-force directs and protects without ceasing. Just as it perpetually flowed from Emmanuel's veins, two thousand years ago, that Blood will never cease being active on your behalf, from relating truth, to winning the lost, healing the sick, delivering the oppressed and raising the dead. We are talking about perpetual motion here...signs, wonders and miracles, an 'always having' walk of full sufficiency in everything pertaining to life and godliness. Flowing through the Savior's circulatory system during His earthly ministry, the most sinless and innocent of entities encouraged men, women and children in so many ways, while forcing the enemy's retreat and defeat in all efforts to oppress humanity. Trust Me! Again, that Blood will never lose its Power. Some in the Body are toying around with Satan's threats and parlor tricks. As the master of illusion, that's all he can do...deceive. Freedom arrives by way of truth. Imprisonment begins with a lie, or thought, followed by an articulation of that fear, a licensing of darkness to manifest the fabrication, in cooperating with the Christian's creative gifting and capacity. The time has fully arrived to sell out and become vital heroes in, and for, the Kingdom. Together We will call those things which be not, until each becomes. Child, I have given you nothing short of Dad's very nature and ability. Your sufficiency is of Me. The Word proclaims that 'the Lord fills all things.' Yet, I can only pour Heaven into empty Vessels. Such was the case when Jesus performed His first miracle in Cana. There had to be a void within those containers before each could be filled with what ultimately became a miracle ... wine, deemed the highest quality. Today's instruction hasn't changed. Pour out what has invaded and trespassed against that walk for far too long. Lay aside weights and sin-consciousness, which so easily beset and go against your identity in Christ. As He is, the Church has become. The second step is one of entering the Throne Room, transporting that emptiness into Glory's Presence, after which there will be an awesome infilling and ignition of promises and all facets of Covenant in the Book. Don't wait until frustration and weariness arrive. Confess and affirm a keen ability to hear, obey and visibly reverse the curse. Heaven is surely visiting earth in Word and deed. The day of visitation and habitation has come, an era of overcoming evil with good, an hour of vindication and restoration. I have spoken. So shall it be!"
