The Bride's Works...Glory's Footprints!
"For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,
as the waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14
"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection." Philippians 3:10
Those promises are so exciting! What do they mean? The Glory of God is His
manifest Presence...signs, wonders and miracles! Jesus boldly declared, "Said I
not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory
of God?" John 11:40
"And their works do follow them (Revelation 14:13)!" What a marvelous
portion of Scripture to ponder. In essence, the Lord is presenting the law of
sowing and reaping here, involving casting one's proverbial bread upon the
water...acts of obedience to those internal nudgings and promptings, while
anticipating increase, corresponding responses from the Throne Room... favor,
promotion, health, protection and provision, to name just a few of Heaven's myriad of
promises for the Family.
A few years ago, I sat across from a 16-year-old girl in my Augusta Clinic.
Angie, a cheerleader at Cony High School, was also known for her agility and
marvelous stunting talents. However, a severe knee injury, which hadn't been
related to me at the time, held that athlete back from actively and
competitively participating on the squad. Thus, progressively moving forward seemed
impossible. The teen was at a standstill in the sport.
We all have Heavenly Pagers. My battery fortunately had been charged by the
Word on that particular day, and the unit was engaged for whatever the Father
had in mind. While discussing another topic with Angie, an inner-stirring
gained discernment. The Lord received this clinician's full attention, as years
of ministry had well conditioned me to the significance of remaining
spiritually astute, instant in and out of season, for the purpose dispensing what
Paul Gervais personally had been freely given...Love, Light and Life.
"Paul, Angie's left knee is impaired and has been a major source of pain
and concern. Transfer the Glory!"
That revelation, of course, arrived by way of a word of knowledge from the
Holy Spirit. The Good News was expediently shared. Angie, not to mention her
parents, who would later learn of the soon to be experienced healing, was
beside herself when I presented that quickened revelation.
The cheerleader immediately retorted..."How did you know all of that?" My
response to her was succinct and direct..."You will no longer be bothered by
pain in your knee. The Lord has made it whole."
I can see the look on Angie's face right now. While testing the limb every
which way but loose, the teen was scanning her natural reasoning processes for
a logical explanation to the illogical Supernatural. There was no doubt at
all. The patient had been immediately restored to the Father's original
mindset of wellness for her life.
Exponentially, when miracles occur, reports and testimonies of signs and
wonders are shared amongst scores of individuals, while the Word, which in this
case had taken on flesh, sinew, muscle and bone, prospers wherever the Most
High dispatches His nature and intent. Angie's awesome encounter with God
deeply touched the whole cheering team, along with many additional students, her
parents and other adults.
We have been strongly encouraged, in fact mandated, to first seek the
Kingdom of God and His Righteousness...Jesus, after which all things will be added
by the Father, according to His riches within the Glory...the very Power
inherent in the Blood Covenant. Unfortunately, many, even in the Body of Christ,
choose to "do their own adding," or performing the Godward half of the
Contract by promoting themselves, running after Ishmaels and performing the Holy
Spirit's job description, rather than yielding, being still and knowing,
permitting quietness and confidence to be their strength.
"And their works do follow them!" Life is all about loving and serving
people. The Church has been solemnly commissioned to "go about doing good and
healing all oppressed of the devil." It's high time for us to take that command
seriously, since scores of lives, souls and ministries hang in the balance.
Angie's did. For that beautiful adolescent, the miracle didn't stop at the
healing. What Satan meant for evil, God had determined for good. The
cheerleader's test translated into a testimony, one that she will share for the rest of
her life. When a person has been touched like that, an abundance of faith is
released to perpetuate more manifestations.
This past weekend, a group of us dined at the Longhorn Restaurant in
Augusta. Guess who served us there? Angie! What a joy it was to be reminded of Dad's
Presence in that little cubicle. Glory's blessings were indeed coming upon
and overtaking all at and around our table.
Ponder this fact for moment! As a new creation in Christ, Christians
constantly carry around a Treasure within their earthen vessels. There's an
excellency associated with that Entity. The Believer has been equipped with full
sufficiency in everything pertaining to life and godliness. Once those spiritual
cataracts have been removed, we can truly see the Father's heart through the
Son and His finished work. The Bride then consequently recognizes Who She
has become in Him. At that juncture, the express Power of God, likened unto
Peter's shadow...the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ, will predictably and
consistently flow, eradicating negativity...sickness, poverty and death, in
all directions. Hell won't be able to keep up with either revelation or
manifestation!
You and I have become Covenant's walking and talking Emergency Room for
recovery. As the Redeemer is lifted up in word and deed, a magnetic pull will
direct whole nations to the cross and empty tomb, a prelude to destiny's
fulfillment.
The adversary has done a fairly good job at lying about and selling God
short before a hurting world. This past weekend, I visited a deceased extended
family member at a local funeral home. He had suddenly passed away two days
earlier. We are to test the fruit and try each spirit. There weren't a whole lot
of happy people in the viewing room. My Word Barometer registered a
decidedly high negative. Nothing about that mess was of the Lord. The Jesus I've
known and served for thirty years wasn't in this seemingly helpless and hopeless
scenario.
One of the visitors exclaimed in conversation, "He tests us. What doesn't
kill a person makes him stronger." My immediate reaction to that was, "Where's
the cheat sheet? What are we supposed to learn and do before goodness and
mercy arrive? How does a person pass? Point me to my cap and gown!"
In our spiritual ineptness, ignorance of Covenant and associated negligence,
we frequently find life deceptively easier to handle, as long as lame
excuses can be made in the stead of practicing His Presence and fulfilling the
Great Commission. In other words, there's too frequently an implication that
Jesus didn't do quite enough to legally destroy the works of the devil, or
perhaps He's corroborating with Satan about new ways of making the world miserable.
Nothing could be more distant from the truth. By nurturing that silly
negativity, apathy and complacency follow. The end result is a posture of living
far beneath our rights and privileges in the Kingdom. Lives, souls and callings
are displaced and lost.
I am beyond grateful for the Holy's Spirit's Presence within the Church. He
is Her real Teacher, Plumbline and Guide. The Revelator has poised Himself to
reveal more of the Glorious Christ. Let's be attentive to His instruction.
Try The Spirits!
"Victorious Child, understand this! There are two distinct laws operating
and opposing one another in the world today...the law of the Spirit of Life in
Christ and the law of sin and death. All that exists is perpetually exposed
to both. However, you have been called out of darkness and delivered into the
Kingdom of My Son and His glorious Light. Sickness and poverty have no more
right in impairing and impacting the Bride's life than sin has to Her soul.
Healing, health and longevity are components of Glory's new and better
Covenant, based upon forever settled and more comprehensive promises. The lesser is
always included in the greater. The Master made that fact abundantly clear in
the company of many when He basically stated...'What's easier...forgiving sins
or reversing captivity of the infirmed?' In the natural, man forensically
leaves a proverbial path in whatever he does, even wherever that person has
been. Darkness and evil produce a residue, obvious throughout the world, as
depicted by the electronic and printed media. The Church has been set ablaze via
a Baptism of Fire, to burn, purge and destroy the enemy's works. Yet, in
order for that to happen, there must be a discernment of Heaven's will,
accompanied by a keen knowledge of the Word and Contract. How many today are really
and truly taking the Great Commission seriously? Ego and traditions of men
have no place in what I've done or am about to accomplish. Calvary's tree is
empty, but still erect. Why might that be? Has it not been said...'There's room
at the cross for you?' Real Life can only emanate from a death and subsequent
resurrection. If I be lifted up, by and through those positioning themselves
on that cross of surrender and obedience, a drawing will surely ensue, a
magnetic pull, attracting men, women and children to Glory's table of
proliferation and provision. Additionally, the very contents of Heaven...signs,
wonders, miracles, facets of the Covenant, will readily fill voids, created and
sustained by hell's intent. Upholding all things by the Word of My Power, I tell
you this. You are the Throne Room's Spark Plug, through Whom a Supernatural
Ignition will set into motion the greatest tangible display of the miraculous
to date. Does not negatively have a tendency to blind-side humanity in a
myriad of ways? Rarely does hell announce its arrival or intentions. Hear this
well! Goodness and mercy are to follow the Family each and every day, as
blessings come upon the Children, positively overtaking them with the express
essence and nature of the One dispatching the good and perfect. Try the spirits.
Test all words. If they don't feel or sound right, that should be an obvious
indicator of error. The Book settles all! Whatever is contained therein is to
be used as a measure or plumb line in determining decisions, direction and
destiny. Take no thought. Accountability and commitment position the Believer
for abundance and excellency of Power. That which has been previously hidden
is about to be unveiled, since the hour of truth and manifestation is
positioned before all nations. Former attacks, accusations and weaknesses are but for
the Glory of God, as with Lazarus and the blind man, that the works might be
made manifest through the Risen Christ, as well as the Kingdom's Sons and
Daughters...those who have been called and commissioned. It is I Who will set
the record straight on behalf of both Heaven and earth. Never attempt
vindicating yourself or stepping outside of the anointing. The Holy Spirit is on His
toes night and day, even while you sleep, to impart, facilitate and manifest
dreams and visions. Contrary thoughts have no place in what lies ahead for
the Redeemed. They are simply detractors, a waste of time and energy. In the
following days, as the Christian takes up his cross and follows Me, every
movement will result in an instant shifts within the spirit realm, a pulling down,
replacing and destroying of strongholds. The Most High's DNA, in and through
the Youngsters, will be evident throughout all nations, while this planet is
filled with a knowledge of the Glory reserved for such a time as
this...Creation's long-awaited, greatest hour!"
