From the Desk of Doctor Paul ...

Destiny's Prelude!

"What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth." Zechariah 4:12, 14

"So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following." Mark 16:19-20

"Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles." Acts 2:41-43

"Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant...not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Corinthians 3:5-6

"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Judgment was promised, and has already begun, in the House of God. The Revelator isn't alluding to a negative process here, but a Glory to Glory transition where the Bride assumes the very likeness, attributes and effectiveness of an ever-loving Father.

Does the Word not declare that the Believer's Body is the Temple (House) or Home of the Holy Spirit? Absolutely! Furthermore, Covenant has promised a "new heart" for the Bride, facilitated by the shed Blood of the Lamb on the Mercy Seat in the Heavenly Holy of Holies. He continues to work in the Church, both to will and do of His good pleasure. In this endeavor, we will discover a newness of thinking, wants and desires, a deferring to the Mind of Christ. Nothing can be more important and habitual than walking in the Spirit. The Family is to be clearly led by the Spirit of God. How much is lost and missed when we ignorantly and purposely refuse those richly rewarding nudgings and promptings? Is it possible to know the Lord's will without intimacy and its prerequisite...a dialoguing with Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith? An emphatic, "No!," is the answer to that question. How frequently has the Most High, in His everlasting mercy and grace, attempted to warn humanity, particularly those within the Household of Faith, of potential and pending onslaughts of darkness and calamity, thus promoting foreknowledge and proactivity, in order to avert a crisis?

It's time for those who are serious about following the Good Shepherd to turn around and repent of previous, nonproductive, dead mindsets. Enoch did just that under the Old Covenant, and found himself in the literal Presence of God. Elijah was another compelling case.

Personally, they and others challenge me in my own personal walk. We are to be as a laser...precise, straight, accurate and effective. The prophetic is vital in the forward movement of Heaven's Soldiers. Never forget this progression...intimacy, revelation, empowerment and manifestation. The Church can't have one without the other. This sequence is paramount to working the works and destroying the enemy's exploits, before they enter the realm of humanity's senses.

Years ago, while returning to Maine from Connecticut, I became terribly frustrated with myself for not measuring up to what some in the Body of Christ might deem "perfection." No matter how much effort was put into that endeavor, success was never vitally realized. Instead, a sense of condemnation and despair followed.

As the Apostle Paul once exclaimed, "Those things I should do simply don't happen, while what God doesn't want for my life and ministry is easily perpetuated by me. Please, is there any help out there?"

Heaven's answer swiftly surfaced from the Comforter within. "Paul, My grace is sufficient. It is that same entity that brought you into the Kingdom and has been healing the sick and raising the dead for centuries."

In essence, the Holy Spirit was relating that, just as we are to be patient and long-suffering toward one another, so must the Believer give himself that same break, since sanctification is a Glory to Glory process. As you and I yield and permit the Agent of Change to do His job, thoughts, words, actions and outcome will surely reflect that inner work of sanctification. Indeed, it's not by might, nor power, but by the Spirit that the Church takes on the express image, behavior and effectiveness of Christ. Otherwise, most of us would be boasting about our own personal sufficiency. In no way would the Master be glorified under those circumstances. Consequently, another gospel, one of condemnation and discouragement, would be presented with a significant amount of associated disinterest and failure.

Let's return to that previously mentioned revelation. The Lord spoke, ever so clearly, concerning my question and frustration. "Paul, if you could, in your individual might, eradicate sin and its byproducts from life, Jesus wouldn't have had to die on the cross and be raised from the dead. He knew that fallen man was completely helpless outside of His finished work of redemption. The excellency of My Power within, that marvelous Treasure in your spirit, is all one needs to become like the Savior. Just as physical growth is automatic, such has always been the case when dealing with the spiritual side. A person doesn't have to obsess over where he is. Promotion arrives in all regions, as a direct result of getting into the Word, eating that real Soul Food, and spending quality time in the Throne Room. Transparency produces intimacy, and intimacy promotes revelation. After all, if you were able to rid yourself of sin in the natural, that would also be man's expectation of others, rendering the cross irrelevant. When recognizing that promotion and deliverance can only come from Me, Christians subsequently point those needing redemption in spirit, soul, body and provision, in the right direction, comforting others with the same comfort wherewith they were comforted."

That made a whole lot of sense to me. You see, conviction is paramount to change. Repentance, too, is a Holy Spirit endeavor, a place where we run out of steam, become sick and tired of being sick and tired. Let's look at an example.

When I was twelve, my parents left me with relatives in Northern Maine, for what was supposed to be a week's vacation. Well, Uncle Joe took his nephew into the woods one afternoon. That precious man had an insatiable appreciation for beer and shared a small amount with me. Upon returning home, I discovered that Aunt Marge had prepared a sizable stack of egg salad sandwiches, one of my favorites. After eating two of them, an internal stirring, not of the Spirit, was quite discernible. Within minutes, all that had been swallowed found another home. The purging didn't seem to help much. Man, I was sick! What came out of my experience? Let's put it this way. There are more egg salad sandwiches and beer in this world because of all that. The very thought of either generates a very negative body memory. Such is the case with anchovies and a few other foods. I often wonder if God really made those nasty things.

That's exactly what repentance is all about. After the Children's bellies are soured by the world and what it has to offer, there's a hungering and turning around for reality and truth, a thirsting for Living Water, a newly discovered appetite for Bread and other delicacies from Heaven's Bakery. God's Child, often through a few negative encounters and experiences, no longer yearns for the pseudo or counterfeit. Only the real will suffice. Our desires change from the beggarly elements of this planet to that which truly satisfies the human soul. We see sin for what it is...a fancy, yet empty, package of pain and misery.

How do you stir your soul back to where it hungers to be? By eating God's Word, and favoring Heavenly things, since desires always follow a person's attention.

Only The Dead Can Be Resurrected!

"Precious Child, ponder those occasions of perceived weakness and challenge in the life and ministry of Christ. Standing before Lazarus' tomb and raising him from the dead, confronting those infested with demons, multiplying the loaves and fishes, healing the sick, and pointing the needy toward provision had their origin in the Throne Zone. The Savior's eyes were always on Heaven, discerning the Father's will in all matters. Have I not instructed the weak to confess strength? Has it not also been written that My ability is made perfect in your inability? Jesus was constantly carrying a cross, one of surrender and obedience. The works He did were actually orders from Headquarters. He wasn't fearful of appearing weak. The Man knew Who He was, remaining well acquainted with His mission. The world, on many occasions, deemed Christ as helpless. Yet, no one could hold a match to the miraculous that flowed through His love and yieldedness. Things are not always as they appear, which is precisely the reason behind the importance of calling those matters which be not as though they were, until each becomes. Anticipate challenges, via thoughts and external influences, when revelation arrives and a Seed is sown. Immediately the enemy comes to abort those awesome, gestated exploits. You see, the death in My Son produced Life in those for whom He was sent. Let Me be more precise. To the extent that the Youngsters lay down their lives for Dad and others, a Resurrection Power will be released, the likes of which have yet to be witnessed on this planet. Prepare to venture forth from that tomb, the cave of deadness and inactivity, as your Third Day is just around the corner. In no way will you be allowed to faint. Keep that Word in your heart. Refuse to be moved by symptoms, circumstances or situations. For I Am the God of all flesh and comfort. Is there anything too difficult for Me? Count that feeling of weakness and helplessness as a certain confirmation that Heaven has taken over in the matter, is carrying the baton and assuring victory. You can't see where you're physically positioned and located, because you are standing on it! That's the faith walk. Let quietness and confidence be your strength. Some jump ship and retreat. But I will provide Soldiers to remain in the gap and make up that hedge of protection. No man goes to war at his own expense. Many have judged and declared you dead. Prepare for a proliferation of Resurrection Life! Remain on that cross of surrender, and watch the miraculous proceed from what man might label as anemic and foolish. You aren't really weak, but meek. And meekness is restrained Power!"
