"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but
with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on
men's wisdom, but on God's power." 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in
me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved
me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being
transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the
Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18
How often have we, in the Body of Christ, exercised an arrogance before God,
a false sense of attitude and entitlement..."I want it now!" We think that
Heaven must move when the Believer is ready for answers and remedies to vital
challenges, situations and circumstances, in life and ministry. Without
question, I've pitifully attempted to "call the shots" from a perspective that
failed to honor, respect and recognize Heaven's times and seasons, the
Father's season of perfection.
In weakness and meekness, that restrained Power, is His strength made
perfect. I'm talking about a point of absolute holy surrender, an abandoning of
personal bias, prejudices and agendas, while fully knowing that He has never
been a second late.
Consider His ways, those former moves of the Spirit. God's track record
fully attests to this comforting fact, that He will come through for His own. The
Children of Israel, yes, even the Egyptians would agree. No matter what side
of the fence one might be on, Believer or doubter, His faithfulness has
invariably honored and manifested the written and prophetic Word, promises
included, when they were needed.
God is calling us to a walk of consecration and endurance, a position in
Christ from whence there's no turning back. Endurance, indeed, culminates in a
perfect work, from which mountain-moving faith calls into being the previously
impossible. Jesus' three-and-a-half years of ministry miraculously modeled
commitment and steadfastness. He remains the same yesterday, today and forever.
When hope seems to be eternally lost, some of the mightiest manifestations
occur. They did so in Biblical days. From healing the sick to raising the
dead, all was bleak until Heaven nodded. A process of waiting preluded each
significant manifestation. After the crucifixion, everyone went home. Each failed
to recognize and properly interpret the prophetic. Jesus had given them more
than one clue, concerning what was to come.
In the fullness of time, and we're talking about three days here, the Savior
ventured out of that cold, dark tomb. Nothing beats a resurrection,
particularly His! Without that timely move of the Holy Spirit, the Church would have
been forever sunk and lost. As He is, we have become in this world. When the
Master arose, so did we. Christ lives in us, and we abide in Him. Nothing in
the universe can stand against the Believer's anointing.
I often contemplate what it must have been like for the families of Lazarus
and Jairus' daughter, upon learning of their passing. Think of that precious
man who was blind from his mother's womb. Emotions had to be running high and
raw in each case. Many questioned God's will and position in those matters.
Some even blamed God, or the sins of hell's victims and their relatives, for
the sickness and death that had taken place.
Invariably, Jesus, performing the Father's will, wasn't at a loss for words,
or Power, when it came to Satan's endeavors. What did He say in encountering
them? "This is but for the Glory of God, that the works might be made
manifest through the Son."
In simple terms, the Master was poised to reverse captivity, a sign and
wonder in itself, and gained the attention of multitudes by doing just that.
Turning their hearts to the Sender was Jesus' focal point in Heaven's marvelous
process of restoration and reconciliation. My Bible declares that Christ fully
preached the Gospel, and was approved of God via the miraculous, those
accentuating signs and wonders.
Lazarus and Jairus' little girl obviously possessed no faith, since they were
clearly deceased. Dead people aren't usually faith giants. However, the
Living Word, that One Who declared Himself to be the Resurrection and Life, had
final say, which is why He is called the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and
the End of all that is, should, and shouldn't be. Yes, indeed, our Redeemer
is, Himself, that proverbial last word!
Death held a tight grip on those grieving families. Relatives and friends
didn't know what to think or do. In spite of that, their mindsets were of little
accuracy or significance. Christ was present to reverse captivity, make
those crooked places straight, affording Heavenly Bread and cups of Living Water
for the hungering and thirsting.
He wept at the tomb of Lazarus. Bowels of compassion moved Him in the
presence of that small girl. Heaven, through the Man, was in charge of all mishaps.
Time was on His side. Nothing has changed in that department. We must permit
the Revelatory Seed to grow, as the Lord of our harvest watches over His
Word to perform it.
"Victim" wasn't in the Creator's vocabulary. Always having full sufficiency,
in every Spiritual dimension, was, and still is, part of our Covenant, as
well as being independent of sin and its associated byproducts...the Accuser's
attempts to destroy humanity. Jesus became an active Model for the Church to
emulate and follow. Beyond that, He mandated "even greater works than these."
To put it another way, "My intention is for you to outshine Me in impacting
this planet for the Kingdom." Have we done that yet? No! But things are about
to change!
Again, right up to the point of resurrection and healing, Lazarus and Jairus'
daughter were completely helpless. Nevertheless, Hope entered each scenario.
Light dispelled darkness. Both were transformed by the Glory and lived to
tell their stories. Actions speak louder than words, and I am so thankful that
the Kingdom isn't in lengthy speeches, but Power (dunamus) and a
demonstration of the Spirit.
Many tears were wept over the previously mentioned examples of Satan's ploys
in this world. He is present to deceive, steal, kill and destroy. Regardless,
perceptions of defeat soon became resounding shouts and testimonies of
victory. Like that proverbial splinter, the truth will come out and win! Past
losses were to become present and future gains. And that, they did!
God spoke ever so strongly to me, a short time ago. "Paul, I know of your
heartaches, those disappointments in life, the betrayals of people, not unlike
what was experienced by Me, occasions when you wondered about what appeared to
be an absence of action from Heaven. Times and seasons, which were
established by the Most High, are in these capable hands. I Am the Living Word and
will have final say in matters involving the Family and Our Covenant. Nothing's
over until it's over! For instance, your father passed away, along with
others who were near and dear to you. Those losses are not helplessly and
hopelessly locked in the past, but will be transformed in the future, taking on a
form of Glory and gain. Such was the case with Lazarus, Jairus' daughter, the
widow woman's son, that man born blind, the leper, and many others. Has it not
been written that even those hairs are numbered, and your tears have been
lovingly stored within special bottles? That's precisely how valuable you are to
Heaven. Hear this well. Sadness, losses and hurts may well exist in the form
of memories, but I have another plan, that of restoration, reconciliation
and redemption. Wrongs will be righted in that day of Outpouring. So, be of
good cheer. Hang in there! Things are rarely as they appear. A vital reversing
of the curse and Satanic captivity is on the way. Christ's Bride is to be
adorned by the Glory, and will be presented to this world as the Groom's Pride
and Joy, the Apple of My eye, without spot or wrinkle, washed and made alive
by the Blood of the Lamb! Prepare to celebrate!"
I love the prophetic! God has no problems, only solutions. He truly is the
"Answer Man," when His Children are stumped and confused. Never are we to
remain discouraged or give up. Knowing they would faint along the way, Jesus
wouldn't let the multitude return home, after they had journeyed great distances
to be in His company, until He fed them. God is acquainted with emotions,
since yours and mine have their origin in Him. The Father is aware of our every
thought. In fact, He wants nothing more than to think through us!
Dreams and visions are the language of the Holy Spirit. Receiving that Fresh
Bread from Heaven will keep the Believer fit to do business in great waters,
where the big fish take up residency. Outside of His Presence in the Throne
Room, the Christian loses vision and is easily moved by the cares of this
world, as well as the deceitfulness of influence and riches. Abiding in that
Secret Place of the Most High translates into resounding success and victory, a
peace that passes natural understanding, an empowerment to perform the
impossible!
"Redeemed One, I am stirringly aware of your pain, days when Satan crossed
the line, and, at times, convinced you that it was My will for those negatives
to be present in your walk. Every good and perfect gift comes from Heaven's
Warehouse of Glory. The key word here is precisely that...Glory, the very
essence, nature and atmosphere in which the Beloved are to walk and have their
being. Today's decisions become tomorrow's memories. I am about to give you
some new and exciting ones! Former areas of attack and weakness are poised to
become regions of Anointing and strength. Let Me present this promise another
way. The deceiver cannot walk in exact knowledge, since the truth isn't in
him. However, he occasionally discerns potential realms of Unction, and will do
all he can to discourage and sidetrack the Army, hoping that Soldiers might
succumb to the paralysis of fear and hopelessness. In spite of his efforts,
your Commander-in-Chief issues orders and disseminates revelation to the
Troops. Never would I send a Battalion into battle without a strategy, certainty of
victory and a safe way out. The only scheme Heaven has, regarding your foes,
is to get rid of them! So, spend a little time pondering what was presented
to you through those losses. They cannot remain as such. The Glory will
reverse and return each prior negative as a gain, in an ordained future that
defies the imagination of this planet's greatest dreamer!"
