"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in the very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death...even death on the cross! Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:5-11

When traveling around America and some parts of the world, I often observe various sized spikes protruding from the roofs of specific buildings. At first blush, they appear to be kind of intimidating, out-of-place, and somewhat ridiculous. As a child, I pondered the significance of those pointed objects, the reason and purpose behind their existence. Why would anyone position ugly artifacts on such aesthetic and beautiful structures?

Back then, Santa Claus was a vital part of my life, at least once a year. Of course, that euphoria soon changed, after an 8-year-old female neighbor shed a bit of adult light on the topic, pointing out the role of parents in the seemingly magical appearance of gifts under decorated trees. Of course, I was disappointed.

However, that newly-found knowledge facilitated further study and investigation. The Holy Spirit was ready to replace a little mythical thinking and believing with what would ultimately be Paul Gervais' future call and reason for being...serving the Kingdom and God's precious people.

Let me say this about Santa. In Christendom, not only was he a real person, but the man successfully glorified our Redeemer in a signs and wonders ministry, culminating in preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, casting out devils, and raising the dead. A wealthy individual, this Saint was attentively poised to generously donate, as freely as God had given to him. I did wonder, prior to an adjustment of the former concept, how Claus could escape those protruding spikes!

Children think and process, both purely and innocently. They do all within their power to learn, comprehend and understand. Relative to ministry, lightning rods were a primer for additional future analogous insights into how the Glory of God would function in His working of the miraculous. After all, the natural could not exist without its superior...the Supernatural, where everything reaching the senses transitionally gains genesis.

Let's briefly return to Santa Claus. He was, during those formative years, eagerly entertained in this writer's life, during those less enlightened days and years, for selfish reasons...beautifully wrapped packages, a temporary escape from school, and the taskmasters who ruled and reigned within that institution of learning. That holiday seemed to be a pretty good idea.

If only someone had presented Saint Nicholas as the person and "Miracle Worker" he portrayed, inclusive of the true meaning of Christmas. Had that happened, December 25th would have been considerably more exciting and meaningful.

Even in the Church, few are acquainted with this Evangelist's history, sadly transforming him into a chubby little man, adorning a red costume. We won't talk about the sleigh and reindeer deal. Was he not, in real life, a "Lightening Rod" of Heaven's Glory? Indubitably!

Lightning rods! The tips of those unattractive devices seemed ominously threatening back then. Once more, the majority of my cerebral content, in that more simplistic era of life, revolved around roof spikes and potential harm to that rotund man, assigned to globe hopping and dirty chimneys.

Nevertheless, within days of discovering the actual meaning behind the season, Mom and Dad added to what I had already learned from Jill, the "Spoiler." They explained a whole lot to me about the birth of Jesus, allaying fears, associated with those rods on the chimneys of houses, barns and other buildings.

Earlier this week, Heaven afforded more revelatory insight and content, placing a prophetic spin on lightning rods. His explanation excitedly resonates within the core of this servant! For beginners, each deflective, channeling instrument points toward Heaven, inarguably stands out, maintains visibility from the lowest to highest of regions. An attraction of vision and electrical energy are solidly associated with each.

Atmospheric activity surrounds and seeks out the most available (elevated) point. A lightning rod receives and draws from the heavenlies in magnetic-like fashion, redirecting bolts of energy toward certain geographical points, where its charge and inherent potential rapidly dissipate, while being evenly distributed, not unlike how the Lord's Glory flows from the Bride's innermost being. The Word stirs up atoms and molecules of salvation to the uttermost, manifesting them into nothing short of the naturally impossible.

Lightning works that way. Extreme temperatures are involved. Heat is identified as a form of energy. Never forget! Power sustains itself and& can never be lost. It flows and unceasingly expresses itself in a myriad of directions and ways.

We're like that, too! Because of Christ's finished work, Heaven's Ministers are now ablaze from the loins up and down, with a Flaming Inferno of expression and display. The Church has been baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire, an ignition, formerly gaining entrance centuries ago, through a loving connection with human "Lightning Rods," obediently and patiently awaiting the Helper in that Upper Room.

The Spirit-filled and directed Believer is Heaven's Lightning Rod. When practicing His Presence, we actually attract those awesome beams and streams of an Entity that can only be described as phenomenal. Faith-filled Words direct Covenant's promises toward Living Epistles, in the midst of situational and circumstantial contradictions of God's intent and unfathomable desire to bless the multitudes. I'm alluding to restoration and reconciliation, reversing realms of defeat and despair...sickness, poverty and death.

Every coin has two sides. All too often, we entice demons and devils with stout words. A consequence of loose professions and confessions is an invitation for darkness to release lies and distortions, for the express goal of muddying Glory's Waters.

You see, because of Who and Whose we are, the internal Jesus attracts a crowd of the good, bad and ugly. At that point, the Blood and Word become our apt defense and proactive offense. Not unlike those three children in that furnace, the "heat" may seem intense and frightening, but the smell of smoke won't change the fragrance of assignment-activated unctions and calls. Instead, Heaven's perfume woos humanity to the Light, from the staunchest of atheists and critics, to the most astute and discontented of God's Faithful.

Without negatives in life and ministry, there can be no real display of, and appreciation for, positives. As with Lazarus and the blind man during Jesus' three-and-a-half years of ministry, contrariness can be reframed and restructured, in the rewriting and redefining of personal histories. How so? By exclaiming, "This is but for the Glory, that the works of God may be made manifest through the Son." Conjointly, the Church utilizes attacks, resulting from a Supernatural positioning, dogma and presence, to plunder hell and populate Heaven. The Bible calls that Her Great Commission...Matthew 10:8.

We are building upon a cumulative foundation of the prophets, by way of yieldedness. Each man, woman and child who has ever exercised Godly obedience, from day one to present, falls into that thrilling category. Many walked in various personal and corporate covenants and sub-contracts. When their end of the deal was honored, Heaven reciprocated with a release of the unprecedented, unparalleled and unpredictable. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Peter, Paul and Mary are prime examples of exactly that.

Hear this with your heart! What the Glory accorded them, in response to, and reward for, quality decisions, is also in the Believer's back pocket. This is an ever-increasing (cumulative) progression..."line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little." Their exponentially manifested rewards are ours, too. Beyond that, you and I are invited to build upon the underlying strengths and accomplishments of our predecessors, thus paying it forward!

God calls that sowing, doesn't He? Forget not the many subsequent benefits of that Divine process. Whatsoever a man plants, such will be his harvest. In uncomplicated terms, plant ahead for what you need and want. Jesus, watching over His Word (seed) to perform it, has always been our Lord of Outcome and Harvest. In Glory's economy, crop failures don't happen. One's expectancy is from the Throne Room. Live in the now, and anticipate the miraculous each moment!

I'll never forget the day that movie, "Pay It Forward," was released, Several viewings were required for me to finally comprehend and appreciate the production's premise, as I extrapolated and contemporized the concept into meaningfulness for today. Accurately restated, "Whatsoever man sows, that shall he also reap." The whole feature was about seeding and reaping, a cycle touching untold lives. My determination is to direct and redirect the fruits of each labor in like fashion.

"Supernatural Traveler, think it not strange concerning the fiery trials of your faith. Aside from that inner-witness, countering opposition is, more often than not, a complimentary and confirming indicator that the Follower of Christ is assuredly heading for a Spiritual bulls-eye. Count and declare every perceived negative as joy, knowing fully well that nothing can negate the Contract or hurt Heaven's Family. As He is, the Church has become in this world. What belongs to the Author and Finisher of Faith is yours. The comprehensiveness of His victories are thrown into that mix, as well. Once more, having been deemed Heaven's 'Lightning Rods,' the Beloved are positioned in the highest of venues, dispatched from that Secret Place of strategy, empowerment, encouragement and outcome, a reserved seat of blessings, providence, prevention and protection. Under the shadow of the Almighty, the Family is strategically seated to hear, move and magnify the Living Christ. They are, indeed, the Spout where My Glory comes out. There is a way that appears right unto man, but leads to futility and destruction. The steps of Heaven's Righteous are ordained of the Lord. The Great I Am has journeyed before the 'Called,' to enhance and fortify victory's pathway. Follow the Blood! Maintaining a single eye of faith insures accuracy of direction and forward movement. The enemy would attempt to prompt a sidestepping from those intuited directives, what might be deemed sin. Salute no man along the way. Being in the right place at God's appropriate time, for Heaven's intended purpose, depends upon sustaining a Godly attitude and approach. Actions speak louder than words, don't they? The Kingdom isn't in mere utterances of vowels and consonants, but has been purposed for Power and a demonstration of the Spirit! Some have quipped, 'Those actions speak so loudly, that I can't hear a word you're saying.' Well over ninety-percent of learning is achieved by way of sight, through the gift of vision. People ignore and reject the unanointed. As a remedial response to that fact, you have been given a Holy unction! This isn't a time to sidestep consecutive, progressive assignments from the Throne Room. Little becomes much when God's in it. Don't neglect this! You can confess and command yourself into an anointing! Has it not been written, 'Call those things which be not as though they were, until each becomes?' That Revelatory Word in you will palpably translate into Ignitions of Life. In fact, a major theme of this Army must be, 'From the womb to the tomb, with Resurrection Power and ability!' Scores are becoming pregnant with the program. Gestate! Protect that Baby. Deliverance is nigh! Gross darkness and vacillating feelings have nothing at all to do with the accuracy and potency of what's been imparted and heard in those closets of intimacy. Faith works in one's heart, when there is doubt in his head. Confusion and conflict are to be avoided at any cost, even though both have become more prevalent in this world. Man has reached the epitome of intelligence, in terms of natural satiation and performance. Men, women and children are reaching out for the Supernatural. Just look at the line behind those counterfeiters of the mystical, as I provide full sufficiency for the moment! Your path has been cleared. Don't look past that next step, or dispatch. One leads to another. Every journey begins with a thought, followed by a corresponding act, which terminates at destiny's given end. In terms of the potentially hearable, how much is masked out and lost in the course of any given day? Remove all (natural) sounds, and you'll discover My Voice. Separate yourself from the trivial and mundane. Come boldly to the Throne. A multitude of gifts and other impartations await the Visitor!"
